Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 5, 2026
Manny is operated by Manny Fetch Holdings LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We built Manny to be a local-first application. Your data stays on your machine.
What We Collect
Almost nothing. Manny does not require an account, does not track you across the web, and does not sell data to anyone.
Here is what we do collect:
- Device identifier — A hardware ID is sent to our server to manage your trial period and validate your license. We do not associate this with your name or any personal information.
- Anonymous usage counts — We track aggregate daily counts of events like app launches, page views, and downloads. These are simple counters with no personally identifiable information attached.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or IP address
- We do not store the articles you clip — article content is processed in real time and not retained on our servers
- We do not use cookies or third-party analytics services
- We do not track your browsing activity
Article Processing
When you clip an article, the page content is sent through our server to an AI service (Anthropic) for text extraction. The content is processed in real time and is not stored by us. Anthropic's use of data sent through their API is governed by their privacy policy.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe may collect information as described in their privacy policy.
Local Storage
Your clipped articles, tags, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your Mac in the Manny application folder. We do not have access to this data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page. Continued use of Manny after changes constitutes acceptance.
